Dates: Friday, April 19, 2024 – Sunday, April 21, 2024
Itinerary:
Friday, April 19
12:30-2:00pm: Swim at Morro Bay High School or Cal-Poly Rec Center
3:00-4:00pm: Set up bikes. Bike Q&A: maintenance, fast tire change clinic
4:30-5:30pm: Team run (=check out Morro Bay 70.3 swim start and finish)
6:30pm: Pizza and Lecture. “Free speed”
Saturday, April 20
7:00am: Breakfast
8:00am: Group bike ride Morro Bay IM70.3 bike course. Lecture on bike course familiarity: https://www.ironman.com/im703-morro-bay-course (BRING PLENTY OF FOOD)
12:30pm: Lunch
3:00pm: Morro Bay 70.3 swim course. (TBA). Swim Q&A ins and outs, drafting, open water “hacks,” tactics, and more. (BRING WETSUIT AND SWIM GEAR.)
6:00pm: Dinner

9:30am: Breakfast
11:00am: Check out
12:00pm : Swim at Morrow Bay High School
2:00pm: Depart camp
Necessary Items:
Athletes should be prepared with plenty of clothing for multiple workouts daily.
Watch or H/R monitor/Garmin - mandatory!
Swim gear: goggles, wetsuit, caps, 2 towels, swim snorkel, swim buoy
Bike gear: Tire repair items (extra tube, tire irons, CO2s), helmet, glasses, bike shoes, 2 water bottles, bike kit, sunglasses, etc.
Running gear: hat, shoes, etc.
Tri gear: tri/race shoes, tri bike, racing suit, racing flats
Misc. gear: Sunscreen, chapstick, medications you may need (inhalers, prescriptions, etc.), toiletries, sleeping bag and pillow (just in case), money for incidentals, fuel (gels, bars, powders, salt tabs, etc.), and snacks.
Cost: $400 for Tower 26 members; $495 non-members. Does not include accommodations and meals.

Tower 26 Coach: Jason Smith
A native of Indiana and graduate of Indiana University, Jason Smith took his degree in Exercise Science and Business to Santa Barbara, California in 2010. His athletic accomplishments started at a young age as Jason was inspired for a life full of competition by his father, Kip Smith, Indiana University's Head Sports Medicine Director and a Hall of Fame Athletic Trainer. Jason never turns down an opportunity to compete. During college he played football, ran the 800 meter in track and field, and ran cross-country as well as competed on IU’s Cutters Little 500 cycling team. He was All-Conference in the 800 meter run while on also receiving Rookie of the Year honors on the cycling team. In 2002 he continued his endeavors as an elite cyclist competing professionally in 2009, earning top ranks in the USA as an adventure racer, All- American honors in triathlon for the 2009-2022 seasons, and competing as a professional triathlete. He is dedicated to his own professional career as a triathlete coach under Tower26 as well as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist for the young and/or "experienced.” Jason is a cancer survivor and uses his wealth of experience to inspire athletes and non-athletes to reach their full potential in life.
