Support Our TOWER 26 Community

The Palisades Fire has been devastating as seen on national media.  The best estimates at this time are that approximately 30 members have lost their homes and businesses, with another several dozen either evacuated or unaware of their homes' status.

Triathlete Magazine has been kind in recognizing our situation. Please see their article here:

About TOWER 26

Started in Pacific Palisades in 2010, TOWER 26 is a strong community of triathletes.  Since the club’s first day, the club’s “home” swim facility is the Maggie Gilbert Aquatic Center at Pacific Palisades Charter High School.  The club trains at both the swimming pool and running track, both damaged during the fires.

Emily Cocks, one of the club's coaches and a former professional triathlete, lost her home to the Atlas fire in 2017.  Emily provided advice via a live zoom/youtube broadcast for over 500 of our athletes and community members where she shared her experiences, primarily  addressing what lies ahead in the next 12 months.  The club is committed to helping our members and its community rebuild their lives and become stabilized; one important foundational piece of rebuilding is to continue to provide training sessions and community outreach to our members, in the near and distant future.

Gerry Rodrigues, founder of TOWER 26, has been coaching triathletes since 1983.  Head triathlon coach and former professional triathlon, Jim Lubinski, has been the glue for our triathletes during this harrowing time.  He and his family were also evacuated from their home during the fire.  Together Gerry and Jim produce the “TOWER 26, Be Race Ready" podcast, started in 2017.
